One of my favorite questions to ask a new customer is to find out if they live around here. It's almost like you can see it in advance when someone is unfamiliar with the territory.
What's really cool is to then see the new customers eyes light up in eager anticipation to give an answer. This past summer we've had customers from The Netherlands, LA, Portland, New Orleans, Brooklyn and yes even an occasional visitor from Johnson County KS!
While those customers are great, my favorite is when I meet someone who just moved to Liberty from another state. Most recently it was George from Nashville.
The even cooler thing, pardon my English, is to have these new customers engage in conversation with the local crowd. Liberty Mo has some of the most welcoming customers who not only care about a great cup of coffee, but they are willing to help grow my business by being friendly to other customers. That is huge, and something that I can not force.
So next time you stop by look around in anticipation, and you just may meet a new friend!
